  1. Wow, very beautiful picture thank you! I have had the pleasure on only one occasion to study these amazing millipedes! Growing up searching for and playing with the small common ones, you could imagine my delight upon finding not only one but two of these last summer. Seeing that the legs were red, I was actually quite couscous to handle this millipede. Of course with my wonder and love of insects, I quickly discarded my fears 🙂
    The millipedes I found were in and around a rotting tree stump, because they are herbivores I just assumed that any tree would do!

    So I am writing to thank you for informing me (and anyone else who might be curious) to look on Oak and Elm 🙂
